Villa Malindi
A contemporary villa between sea and light, in Ngaparou.
Facing the ocean at Ngaparou, Villa Malindi is designed to offer a fluid living experience between indoors and outdoors. Built in a U-shape around a central patio, it places the pool at the heart of the composition, allowing each wing to enjoy a double view of the sea and the water.
Its architecture plays on harmonious contrasts between nature and modernity: on the one hand, vertical wooden slats reminiscent of the texture of plants; on the other, geometric white volumes, sober and contemporary. The dialogue between natural wood and mineral rendering subtly underscores the building's volumetry, creating a subtle interplay of light and shadow.
True to Atelier KALM's sensitive approach, nature is at the heart of the project: local species with light foliage, such as filaos and prosopis, have been planted near the glass façades to provide natural sun protection while preserving the transparency of views to the outside.
Villa Malindi embodies an architecture of contrast and balance, where formal minimalism meets mild climate, and every space lives to the rhythm of the sea and the light.
